What buyers mean by seamless
In bra development, seamless can describe a smooth appearance under clothing, molded cup construction, bonded edges or an integrated one-piece shape. These approaches solve different buyer needs, so the specification should explain the intended look, support level and wearing occasion.
Choose materials around comfort and recovery
Nylon and spandex blends are common where stretch, smoothness and shape recovery are priorities. Viscose blends can add a soft hand feel and moisture comfort. Lace or mesh may be used as a decorative layer or ventilation detail. Ask for material composition and performance information for the exact fabric selected for sampling.
Define support without relying on one label
Wire-free styles can use molded cups, wider underbands, side panels, strategic stretch and wider straps to create support. The correct combination depends on the size range and target consumer. Plus-size programs often require different strap, wing and closure decisions from lighter-support everyday styles.
Review edges and visibility under clothing
Smooth cup surfaces, clean neckline edges and well-controlled seams help reduce visible lines. Bonded or pressed edges can support a cleaner finish, while lace details create a more decorative result. Test the sample beneath the clothing types your customer is likely to wear.
Plan color and size development together
Color can affect fabric availability and production planning. Size grading can also change fit and support requirements. Confirm the intended size range before finalizing the sample, then review whether construction details should change across size groups.
